Halswell in watercolour
Lynda Appleby has been busy creating a selection of watercolours that illustrate some of the historic Halswell estate. Below are four images of follies situated around the house, all of which were built in the eighteenth century when the grounds were remodelled in the latest fashion of the day. For more information on the follies and their histories please click here.
These charming illustrations will be available as postcards at the forth-coming Wedding Fair on Sunday November 2nd and at the annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Wednesday 5th November. More of Lynda's work at Halswell will be on show in a dedicated exhibition in the Mansion House from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 8th February 2009.
