March 2007 – Launch Weekend a Success!
Grand Launch
The official Launch Day on Saturday 10th March was a great success. A welcome burst of early spring sunshine set the scene for a thoroughly enjoyable day. Stilt-walkers greeted visitors with mime artists and living statues bedecking the interiors at key points. A fashion show, tours of the house and a stunning collection of vintage cars all put Halswell in a true party spirit. Teas and canapés were served throughout the day and people were able to wander around the newly refurbished reception rooms for the first time. A central theme and major attraction were the stunning flower arrangements by local and London-based florists. Without this beautiful addition the day would have lacked a certain something. All in all a very enjoyable time was had by all and a big thank you for all the congratulations we received on the completion of the Mansion House.
Wedding Show
The Wedding Show held on Sunday 11th March was a great success. The weather was especially kind and visitors were treated to a comprehensive display of wedding related goodies as well as having the opportunity to look over the house and stroll in the immediate grounds.
Halswell Grand Prize Draw - 10th/11th March 2007
The raffle ticket prize draw raised over £170 for St Margaret's Hospice, Taunton. We would like to thank all those who bought tickets and the prize draw made by Mr Grahame Bond resulted in the winners below:

A Weald's Smokery hamper of fine smoked meats and cheeses was won by Mr Coles
